IM-Age allows users to know who they are talking to.  The problem with Instant Messaging is that users are unknown.  With the IM-Policy Manager users can authenticate those that they are talking to, receiving assurance that they are who they say they are. 

Information returned to the requesting user is:

  • Microsoft username
  • Machine name
  • Date and time stamp
